Introducing the new DSP24 ADAT card from ST Audio. An affordable solution for interfacing your ADAT compatible hardware (digital mixers, digital tape machines, synthesizers, etc.) with your PC - a product based on our successful DSP24 series of cards.

DSP24 ADAT is no longer available. As replacement, the ESI Audioterminal 010 or the ESI MaXiO 032 could be an option.

With the advent of digital audio becoming common place in studios and homes around the world, one digital transfer format has come to be recognized as the protocol of choice for many professional users. We are of course referring to the ADAT protocol developed by Alesis (ADAT is a registered trademark of Alesis). The ADAT protocol allows transfer of 8 channels of digital audio over one optical fiber cable. Because of its ease of use and perfect quality, many manufacturers are supporting the ADAT protocol on their current and future products.

The DSP24 ADAT card from ST Audio installs easily and contains everything you need to form a powerful 8 channel digital audio link between any of your ADAT compatible digital equipment and your Windows PC. Just insert the ST Audio DSP24 ADAT card into an available PCI slot and connect it with optical cables to your ADAT compatible device. The available analog output allows you to monitor signals directly with the card without a separate DAC unit.

Digital editing with the DSP24 ADAT card from ST Audio makes many jobs in the studio effortless. For example, using the card with a linear digital tape recorder you can send audio at up to 24-bit resolution into your computer, graphically edit your tracks in your favorite software application and send them back to tape for mixdown, archiving etc. Another great application is using your digital mixer as the AD/DA audio interface for all famous computer recording software applications.

The card features a sophisticated multi-client driver architecture that allows very low latency under ASIO 2.0, GSIF and DirectSound that make it ideal for use with software-synthesizers and samplers (e.g. Nemesys GigaStudio, VST SoftSynths) using a digital multi-channel output (e.g. into a digital mixer). Driver support is excellent and provides compatibility for Windows 98/ME, Windows 2000 and Windows XP.

ST Audio's DSP24 ADAT card is compatible with all of today's latest applications including Logic Audio, Cubase VST, Cakewalk, Samplitude, Cool Edit, Acid, Vegas, etc. The included Logic SoundTrack24 software from Emagic allows you to use the card for professional recording without additional software. Other software bundled with the card include Acid XPress 3.0 and SIREN XPress 2.0 from Sonic Foundry.
